Celebrating Success: Transform Your Health - In 12 Weeks!
We're delighted to share the success of the first group to complete Transform Your Health - In 12 Weeks!
Run by Lochaber Hope and funded by Multiply, a Scottish Government initiative, this 12-week course has helped participants improve their health whilst developing practical numeracy skills through the equation for healthy living.
Over the weeks, the group worked with a qualified personal trainer to discover how simple maths can help with meal planning, tracking fitness goals, and understanding food labels. It's been inspiring to see how these skills have made a real difference in their daily lives.
What We Achieved Together
During the course, participants:
Created personalised food and fitness plans tailored to their own goals.
Built confidence in everyday maths, such as calculating portion sizes, tracking calories, and managing hydration.
Learned how to measure progress, making it easier to stay motivated.
Shared meals, ideas, and encouragement in a friendly, supportive environment.
Mastered nutrition basics, including food labels, macronutrients, and healthy fats.
Sharpened numeracy skills through calorie counting, macronutrient calculations, serving size measurements, and nutritional content analysis.
