Born out of the needs of local people, Lochaber Hope was formed in November 2005 and by November 2006 we had defined our objectives, become a constituted body and had achieved charitable status. By November 2007 we were operating with a full volunteer Governance Team and Pathways to Employment began the natural progression to merge and develop the Employability Support

By February 2008 we were already operating several projects, including the Mentor Provision. Having secured sufficient funding we employed our first staff member, allowing us to take the project to the next stage and develop Outreach that was previously piloted by DOVE in the rural community of Duror.

In May 2009 when we moved to larger premises we established a confidential counselling service for all the community.
